AMARC 18 Feb 00

Reconciliation of the 18 February 2000 list proved a significant challenge, with many aircraft misplaced on the official list and no Pima bus tour due to a public holiday on the 19th. This made dealing with the ramp areas especially difficult, but the helpful pilot from Double Eagle Aviation made sure that photographic coverage was complete.

Aircraft listed within the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) disclosure were are follows:

Area 01 Area 02 Area 03 Area 04 Area 05 Area 06 Area 07
Area 08 Area 10 Area 11 Area 12 Area 13 Area 14 Area 15
Area 18 Area 19 Area 20 Area 21 Area 22 Area 23 Area 24
Area 25 Area 26 Area 27 Area 28 Ramps Celebrity Row Departed

A number of aircraft were withdrawn from storage in 1997 and moved to a small storage area between the fire dump and Area 15. Many of these airframes returned to Area 21 in early 2000, but have not been re-entered on the official AMARC list.

Finally, a further A-10 is located in area 28 which is also not on the list. This is 75-0286, which had been in use by the main base operationally then for BDR. It moved to its current location by May 1998 and has not been subject to any preservation process.
